School Day Times

The School Day

Total teaching time during the school week is 23 hours and 30 minutes (excluding registration and assembly time).

The school day is organised as follows:

8.45 am

Teachers on duty. Children may enter the playground.
The school takes no responsibility for children who enter the playground before this.

Children are not allowed to play ball games at this time, nor cycle or ride scooters in the grounds..

8.55 am

Bell goes. Children start to line up.

9.00 am

Second bell goes. All children should be in line.

Children are supervised to class by their teachers and registered.
Any child arriving after the class has entered school, is marked LATE.

10.45 – 11.00 am

Mid–morning break.

Children may bring a piece of fruit, vegetables or hard cheese to eat. Drinking water is available from fountains in the several parts of the school.

12.15 pm

Lunch break for all classes is at 12.15pm to 1.00pm.

Supervision by lunchtime supervisory assistants (LSAs).
A variety of play equipment is provided.

1.00 pm

Bell goes for the end of lunch. Children line up.

Children are supervised to class by their teachers.

3.00 pm

School finishes.

Children in different year groups leave the building by different exits.
Parents/carers should wait for their children outside the appropriate door.
Children are not allowed to play ball games after school.

School finishes at 2pm for all classes on Friday.

Primary 1and Primary 2  finish at 2.00pm every day.

Primary 3 finish at 2:30pm Monday- Thursday.
